Terms of Service

1. Agreement and developer

These terms govern the OkaPace app and website, provided by Bilcodes, an independent developer in India ("we", "us"). OkaPace is a personal indie project, not a registered company. By using it, you agree to these terms. If you disagree, do not use the service. Our Privacy Policy explains how your information is handled.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use OkaPace. If you are under the age of legal adulthood in your country, use it only with a parent or guardian’s permission and any consent required by law. A parent or guardian must approve purchases made by a minor. In India, parental or guardian consent is required for users under 18 where applicable child-data protection law requires it. Local law, Google account eligibility and app-store rules may impose additional requirements.

3. What OkaPace provides

OkaPace helps you record expenses, plan bills, set budgets and savings goals, and view an estimated daily safe-to-spend amount. It is not a bank, payment service, investment adviser or substitute for a qualified financial professional. The Android app is live on Google Play; iOS is coming soon.

4. Google and guest accounts

You may sign in with Google or continue as a guest and link a Google account later. Keep your device and Google account secure, provide accurate information and do not use someone else’s account without permission. Google sign-in is subject to Google’s terms. Contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access to your OkaPace account.

5. Your records, sync and reminders

You enter financial information manually; OkaPace does not automatically import bank transactions. You are responsible for the accuracy of your entries. Records are stored locally first when offline and synced to our database when online. Unsynced changes may be lost if app data is cleared, the app is uninstalled or your device is lost. Check that important records have synced before changing devices.

Notifications are scheduled locally only. Device settings, permissions or operating-system restrictions can delay or prevent reminders. You remain responsible for paying bills on time.

6. Estimates and optional AI insights

Safe-to-spend amounts, budgets, forecasts and AI outputs are informational estimates, not guarantees or financial, investment, tax or legal advice. AI is an optional tool for helpful insights. When you choose it, your questions and relevant records, including transactions, expenses and goals, are processed by providers such as Google Gemini, OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, as described in the Privacy Policy.

AI can produce inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable information. Check its output independently and consult a qualified professional when appropriate. Do not rely on it alone for consequential financial decisions. You remain responsible for your decisions and do not have to use AI to use non-AI tools.

7. Free features and Pro purchases

Core features are free. OkaPace Pro adds paid features through monthly or yearly subscriptions or a one-time Lifetime Pro purchase. Prices are displayed for your region on the website and in the app; the store’s purchase screen controls the amount, currency and applicable taxes charged. Features and prices may change, subject to store rules and applicable law.

Lifetime Pro is a one-time purchase with no automatic renewal. It grants the offered Pro entitlement for the lifetime of the OkaPace service, not a guarantee that the service will operate forever or that every future product or feature is included. Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.

8. Billing, renewal and restoring access

We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions, one-time purchases and access entitlements. Android purchases are billed through Google Play under its billing terms. Monthly and yearly subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through Google Play before the renewal deadline shown by the store. RevenueCat does not replace Google Play as the payment processor for these purchases.

To cancel on Android, open Google Play, select your profile, then Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → OkaPace, and follow the cancellation steps. Access normally continues until the end of the paid period unless the store indicates otherwise. Uninstalling OkaPace or deleting your OkaPace account does not cancel a subscription. Restoring eligible purchases depends on the store account used for the original purchase; contact us if access is missing.

9. Refunds

Refund requests for Google Play purchases are handled according to Google Play’s refund policies and applicable consumer law. Cancellation alone does not automatically produce a refund for a paid period. Request a refund through Google Play; you may also email us for purchase assistance. We do not offer an additional unconditional refund guarantee, and nothing in these terms limits mandatory refund or consumer rights.

10. Acceptable use

• Use OkaPace lawfully and do not submit information you have no right to use.
• Do not attempt to access another user’s records or bypass account, purchase or security controls.
• Do not disrupt the service, distribute malicious software or abuse AI or support tools.
• Do not copy, resell or reverse-engineer the software except where applicable law expressly permits it.

11. Ownership and your information

You retain ownership of the information you enter. You permit us and necessary service providers to process it only as needed to operate the service, sync your records and provide features you request, as described in the Privacy Policy. The OkaPace name, logo, software and original content belong to Bilcodes or their respective licensors. These terms grant a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app; they do not transfer ownership of it.

12. Account deletion and termination

You can stop using OkaPace at any time. The account deletion option in the app’s Settings deletes your account and all associated OkaPace user records. Deletion is permanent and requires an internet connection to complete removal of synced records. Contact bilcodes@gmail.com if you need help, including with a guest account. Cancel active subscriptions separately in Google Play before deleting your account.

We may restrict or suspend access for serious misuse, security risks or legal requirements. Where reasonably possible and lawful, we will explain the reason and allow you to contact us to resolve it. Independent providers may retain their own billing or service records under their policies or legal obligations.

13. Availability and changes

We aim to keep OkaPace working but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. Updates, maintenance, internet connectivity and third-party outages may affect features. We may change or discontinue the service or features; where reasonably possible, we will communicate material changes affecting paid access. Any remedies required by law or store policy remain available.

14. Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by law, OkaPace is provided "as is" and "as available", without a guarantee of a particular financial result. To that extent, Bilcodes is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the app or reliance on estimates or AI output. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for fraud, wilful misconduct or other mandatory statutory protections.

15. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India, subject to mandatory consumer and privacy protections that apply where you live. Contact us first so we can try to resolve concerns. If a dispute remains unresolved, it may be brought before a court with jurisdiction under applicable law. These terms do not remove any right to seek a remedy from a competent court or consumer authority.

16. Updates and general terms

We will update the date above when these terms change and communicate material changes through the app or another appropriate channel. Where required, we will obtain your agreement before changes take effect. If you do not accept updated terms, stop using the service and cancel any subscription separately. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
